POSITION SUMMARY:

The Freight & Warehouse Manager is responsible for the performance and cost of Logistics in North America and Mexico. This role will manage all Logistics/Transportation and 3PL Warehouse Service Providers to ensure service excellence and network optimization for Advanced Energy. This position will have one direct report to assist in meeting objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive Key Performance Inductors excellence through regular Business Reviews with the 3PL warehouse operators

  • Manage international freight and domestics transporters and their performance review

  • Accountable for logistics cost and budget

  • Leads cost and efficiency improvement projects

  • Collaborate with shipping teams to drive cost efficiency

  • Follow-up on urgent shipments, shipment discrepancies and damages

  • Accountable for the 3PL warehouse performances to ensure

  • Accurate and prompt Good Receipt into the 3PL warehouses

  • DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) to Advanced Energy local factories and overseas sites from 3PLwarehouses

  • Accurate inventory level in the 3PL warehouses

  • Full adherence to Customs and SOX compliance by the 3PL warehouses located in bonded area

  • Influence and review 3PL SOP and logistics procedures. Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities

  • Assist in managing Customs for shipment import and export

  • Assist in managing Customs Compliance in the 3PL warehouses

  • Provides coaching and contributes to the professional growth of Logistics team members

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Fort Collins, CO or Mexicali, MX

  • Environment: Standard office environment, with limited remote opportunities

  • Limited travel required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a similar position managing losgistics, freight and/or warehouse

  • Previous supervisory experience is essential

  • Excellent communication skills to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing

  • Proactive work ethic to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand

  • Strong organizational skills - ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment

  • Good understanding of SAP and the ability to apply logistics processes

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems

  • Ability to work with several projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work well and motivate others in a team environment, by collaborating and involving others in decision-making and problem-solving

Preferred:

  • Experience with proper handling of static sensitive material

  • Experience with MRP systems and SAP

EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION:

Essential:

  • BS in Business Administration, Production/Operations Management (or closely related field) or a combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred:

  • APICS CPIM Certification

  • Six-Sigma Green Belt certification desired

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $95,000 to $125,000 per year.
